Severe Weather Awareness Week
Minnesota and Wisconsin: April 17-21, 2017
Severe Weather Awareness week was created by the National Weather Service to refresh, remind, and educate everyone about the seasonal threats from severe weather and how to avoid them. It’s a perfect time to make and practice your emergency plan and build or update your emergency preparedness kit.
Everyday of the week focuses on a different weather safety topic:
Monday: Alerts & Warnings
Tuesday: Severe weather, lightning & hail
Friday: Extreme Heat
